Privacy Policy
Effective October 27, 2026
This policy explains how the operator of PhilYabuti.com ("Phil Yabuti," "we," "us") handles information when you visit this website. For privacy questions or requests, email privacy@philyabuti.com.
Your analytics choice
Google Analytics is optional. We do not load Google's analytics script or send analytics events to Google unless you select Accept analytics. You can decline and still use the site. Use Privacy settings below or in the footer to change your choice. Declining after accepting stops future analytics collection in this browser and removes this site's Google Analytics cookies where accessible. It does not automatically delete information previously collected.
Analytics remains off unless you accept it.
Information we receive
- Website delivery and security: Our hosting provider, Cloudflare, processes network and request information, such as IP addresses, browser information, requested pages, and request times, to deliver and protect the website.
- Optional analytics: If you accept, Google Analytics 4 receives information about page views, visits, clicks on outgoing links, scrolling, engagement, browser and device types, referring websites, approximate location, and cookie-based identifiers. Google uses IP information to derive approximate location; GA4 does not log or store individual IP addresses. These statistics help us understand which links are useful and improve the site.
- Messages you send: If you email us, we receive your email address, message, and anything you choose to include, so we can reply and handle your request.
We do not intentionally send names, email addresses, message contents, or precise location to Google Analytics. The tracking configuration removes query strings and fragments from the page address and uses only the referring website's origin. Outgoing link destinations and identifiers can be recorded. Analytics measures clicks away from this site; it does not give us access to your private activity on the destination website.
Cookies and browser storage
We save your analytics preference in local browser storage for up to 180 days. This preference is used to remember your choice, not to track you across websites. If you accept analytics, Google may set first-party cookies such as _ga and _ga_… to distinguish browsers and sessions. We configure their lifetime to 180 days without refreshing that lifetime on each page load. Browser settings can shorten these periods or prevent storage. Clearing site data or using another browser may cause us to ask again.
How information is used and shared
We use information to operate and secure the site, measure audience engagement with your permission, respond to communications, and meet applicable obligations. Cloudflare and Google process information as service providers under their respective terms. Our email provider processes correspondence. Information may also be disclosed when required by law or reasonably necessary to protect rights, security, or safety.
We do not sell visitor information or use this website's analytics for personalized advertising. Google advertising storage, advertising user data, advertising personalization, and Google signals are disabled in our tracking configuration. Optional Analytics account data-sharing settings are disabled.

Retention and international processing
We configure Google Analytics to retain user- and event-level data for 14 months, with the user-retention reset on new activity turned off. Aggregated reports may remain available longer. Browser-cookie lifetimes are separate from server-side retention. We retain correspondence as needed to respond, resolve requests, and meet applicable recordkeeping requirements. Providers may retain operational or security records according to their policies and obligations.
Our providers may process information in the United States and other countries. Applicable contractual safeguards and transfer mechanisms are described in their privacy and data-processing terms.
Your choices and requests
Where applicable, we rely on consent for optional analytics and on legitimate interests or other applicable grounds for site operation, security, and correspondence. You may withdraw analytics consent through Privacy settings at any time without affecting prior lawful processing. You can also control cookies through your browser or use Google's Analytics opt-out browser add-on.
Depending on your location and applicable law, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, object to, or obtain a copy of personal information, or to complain to a privacy regulator. Send requests to privacy@philyabuti.com. We may need proportionate verification before responding. We cannot necessarily connect anonymous or cookie-based statistics to an email address or identify a particular visit.
